Thank you for accessing our Service at www.worksheriff.com. Please read this which is designed to run alongside the Customer and Trade Person Agreements. Do not use the Service unless you wish to be bound by this Agreement because, by clicking to post a job or bidding on Jobs you confirm your acceptance of this Agreement (which also includes the Privacy Policy and Code of Conduct).

The Service is for use in the United Kingdom only. You must not access the Service from any other authority. You are responsible for all compliance with laws and regulations which apply to you.

1 Definitions

Credits

Credits are purchased by Trade People and Used when Biding on Jobs and other Functions on Work Sheriff

Customer

Where we refer to the Customer in this Agreement, this also includes any person that accesses or uses our Service on your behalf.

Customer Satisfied Job

Where a customer is Satisfied with the Job Fully Completed to the Required Specification and British Standards

Database

The Database is a List of Questions to Help Customers Give as Much information as Possible, so Trade People can Give the Best Price.

Membership

Membership is for Trade People to See Jobs Available to Bid On.

Milestone

A Trade Person request a milestone to state that the job is complete, and the Trade Person should be paid.

Refund/ed

Refund is a Payment from Work Sheriff

Remittance Payments

The Payment Made to the Trade Person on Completion of a Customer Satisfied Job.

Service

The Service Consists of the Website and Apps, and the Content and Services We Make Available Through the Internet, Mobile Devices Including Smart Phones and Tablets, and/or Interactive Television Devices and Services.

Trade Person

Any Person using the Service to Promote their Services (except us) shall be a Trade Person/ People. As Part of Receiving the Service, you May from Time-to-Time Upload Information to the Service or Otherwise Provide Us or Other Users of the Service with Information Relating to You or Your Subcontractors.

Trade Person Completed Job Fee

When A Trade Person Completes a Customer Satisfied Job, They Will Receive Payment Minus the Completed Job Fee.

Work Sheriff

We are Workmansupermarket Limited Trading as Work Sheriff. Our Registered Company Number is 8409652 and our Registered Office is at 83 - 89 Phoenix Street, Sutton in Ashfield, Nottinghamshire NG17 4HL.


2 Work Sheriff Fees

Customer/ Homeowner Fees

Work Sheriff is free for Customer/ Homeowners to use.

Trade Person Joining Fee

Trade People will Pay a one-Off Joining Fee of £50, Which Can Have a Special Discount Offer Used in Conjunction with the Fee.

Trade Person Credits

Trade People Will Buy Credits to Bid on Jobs,

  • £10 for 10 Credits.
  • £40 for 50 Credits.
  • £65 for 100 Credits.
  • £100 for 200 Credits.

The Jobs Bid on Will Cost 1 Credit for Each Post in the Single Trade Section, and Large Projects Which Needs Multiple Trades Will Require 3 Credits. The Job Posted will be from Customers Who filled Out as Much Detail as they are capable of. The Details within the Job Post should give Trade People Enough Information to give a Competitive Quote. Customers are Free to Choose any Trade Person They Feel Suits Their Needs, therefor a Trade Person Which Chose to Bid on a Job Post May Not Win the Job and are not Guaranteed to win any Job. All Information Given Is Subject to the Privacy Policy.

Credits are Non-refundable.

Credits May Be Used from Time to Time for Promotional Purposes.

Trade Person Completed Job Fee

When A Trade Person Completes a Customer Satisfied Job, They Will Receive Payment Minus the 8% Completed Job Fee. All fees are rounded up to the nearest £1.


3 Bills and Payments

We accept payments by credit or debit card only. We reserve the right to obtain validation of your credit or debit card details before we allow you to use the Service. For your convenience we hold your payment details on a secure server. Receipts are sent to you on Purchase of a Work Sheriff Product or Service, or a Remittance Payment on Completion a Job. Receipts and Remittances are sent to you by email and may be accessed at any time via your account.

All Trade Person Memberships will be On Going unless The Account Is Not Used for a Period of 3 Years. If a Trade Person Does Not Use Their Membership Inside The 3 Years, the membership will be Removed, and They Must pay the Joining Fee to Use the Work Sheriff Services Again.

4 Payment Terms

When Paying Bills, it is Important that your Card Details are valid and that you have Sufficient Funds Available. You can Update your Payment Details when Making any Purchase Via our Secure Website. All Payments will be Taken at the Time of Purchase.


5 Remittance Payments

The Remittance Payment is made to the Trade Person Work Sheriff account on Completion of a Customer Satisfied Job. The Trade Person must request a Milestone, so the Customer and Work Sheriff know that the job is complete. Payment is made when a customer releases a milestone. If a customer is not Satisfied with the job, they must dispute the milestone. A Trade Person can argue against the dispute at any time, and if found that an unjust dispute has been raised, or a customer has not responded within the 14 days, a payment may be made immediately The Payment Made to the Trade Persons Work Sheriff account is for the Agreed Amount with 8% Commission (rounded up to the nearest £1) deducted. Trade People can request Payment from their Work Sheriff account to their bank account at any time where payments will be made ASAP.


6 Refund and Cancellations

Please get straight in touch with us if you are in any way unsure about an amount that has been charged to your card. In the event we find a payment has been taken in error we will refund the amount promptly to your credit or debit card.

We reserve the right to review our fees from time to time. Any changes to these Payment Terms will be posted on this Website. If we increase our Fees, we will give you 14 days’ notice before the increased Fee takes effect.
